Hey everyone its Justin here once again. Looks like Lauren uploaded some more pictures via facebook, and so I'm throwing them on here for your browsing pleasure! It seems our beloved travelers are having quite the experience over in France and loads of fun. Take a look for yourself,

I'm guessing this is along the D'Day Beaches, but there was no image caption. Quite beautiful if I do say so myself.

Pictures from France

Hello everyone!

This is Serge Riege posting, and I'd like to let you know that I'm not in France with the group, but thanks to Lauren Bretz I have some pictures to share with you (the beloved family and friends). With the Ipad it seems we had some difficulty uploading photos to our blog, simply because of the different technology. An Ipad let me remind you is not exactly like a computer so there was a compatibility issue of some sort. Anyways, Lauren has been posting pictures I believe from her I-touch on facebook and so they aren't the best of quality, but still a picture is a picture. So enjoy!

That's all for now. I will be posting more as they become available to me. To my fellow classmates, I hope you guys are enjoying every second over there and making memories that will last a life time. I wish I was able to be there with you, but tis life I suppose.

Love,

Serge Riege :) <3

Bonjour from Caen!

We're enjoying dinner at our second hotel here in France. We have had an eventful past few days.

After arriving on Tuesday, we walked around Paris and had lunch on the Champ de Mars which is the mall directly behind the Eiffel Tower. That evening we ate at a restaurant in the city and climbed the Arc de Triomphe. On Wednesday we enjoyed a bus tour of the city, traveled to Versailles, and spent the evening in Montmartre. On Thursday we returned to Montmartre for a French painting lesson and a chance to create our own work of art. Following that, we took the subway to the Louvre where we had lunch and saw some of Paris's most famous pieces of art. That evening we dined at Altitude 58, an amazing restaurant on the Eiffel Tower! We finished off the evening with a boat cruise on the Seine.

This morning, we packed our bags and left Paris for Caen. Along the way, we stopped in Giverny and Rouen. In Giverny, we toured Claude Monet's home and famous gardens and in Rouen we had time to shop and see two famous churches, one of them built in honor of Joan of Arc.

Tomorrow morning we are off to Normandy to visit the D-Day beaches and WWII museum.

We are looking forward to sharing all of our stories and experiences with you when we return home.

Love and miss you!

Bonjour from Paris!

Hello family!
It is 11:25pm here in Paris. We have been in France for just over 12 hours and have had a busy first day. Believe it or not, our hotel in Paris doesn't have wifi. This will be our only post here in Paris. We will try again on Friday when we reach our next destination. Everyone is well, hope all is well back in Sterling Heights.

Love and miss you!

We're busy with last minute details, but I want to thank Serge Riege for setting up our blog. This was his idea and he did all the work. Merci beaucoup, Serge!
